🌸 Spring in @visitwashingtondc is pure magic— 🌸 Spring in @visitwashingtondc is pure magic—and this is how to end your 3 days in the nation’s capital! 🇺🇸✨

[Day 2: Cherry Blossoms & National Treasures]
Start your morning with a walk along the Tidal Basin to see the cherry blossoms in full bloom—with stops at the Jefferson and MLK Memorials for some breathtaking views. 🌸
From there, head to the National Mall and make your way to the Lincoln Memorial—because no trip to Washington D.C. is complete without taking these iconic steps to the top.

Spend your afternoon exploring Smithsonian Museums—from American History to the National Archives where the original Declaration of Independence is kept. Tip: Be sure to get there at 10am and go straight upstairs to get in line.
End your day at The Wharf—grab dinner by the water and finish the night with drinks at Pendry Bar, where the cocktails are just as good as the views. 🍸

[Day 3: A Final D.C. Stroll]
Start with a quick stop at The White House—because, why not? Then, head to Unconventional Diner for one of the best brunches in town. 🍳
Next, hop on the Metro to NoMa, where you’ll find colorful street murals and artsy vibes. 🎨 Finally, grab lunch at Yellow, a Mediterranean bakery serving unreal sandwiches, before wrapping up your trip at Union Station—whether you’re catching a train or hopping on the Metro back to DCA. 🚆

Fun Fact: D.C. has more cherry blossom trees than Tokyo’s Ueno Park—a gift from Japan in 1912 that turned into an iconic annual festival! 🌸

Who’s planning a trip to D.C. this spring? Save this itinerary & tag your travel crew!

Here’s the perfect 3-day itinerary when visiting Here’s the perfect 3-day itinerary when visiting Washington D.C. @visitwashingtondc Part 1.

On day one we’re spending a day in Georgetown, D.C. From charming streets to iconic spots, this itinerary is a must!

Itinerary Breakdown:
Start your morning at Bitty & Beau’s Coffee—a shop with an incredible mission and an even better latte. Then, head to Call Your Mother, this ‘Jew-ish’ deli is famed for its mouthwatering bagel sandwiches—think perfectly chewy bagels loaded with creative fillings. Grab a seat outside and soak in the charming neighborhood vibes. 🥯

After breakfast, wander through historic Georgetown cobbleston streets athe scenic views from the waterfront. Check out The Transformers & Exorcist Steps—a legendary film spot and a serious leg workout.

For lunch, head to Osteria Mozza. Co-founded by chef Nancy Silverton and restaurateur Stephen Starr, this Italian gem offers signature handmade pastas and fire-grilled fare. The little gem insalate and pizze was amazing but if you’re here for dinner the ricotta & egg raviolo and the focaccia di recco are standout dishes. Then, it’s time for shopping on M Street—where you’ll find everything from high-end boutiques to local gems. 🛍️

End your day with Dinner at La Bonne Vache feels like a quick trip to Paris, and walk over to Mercy Me for craft cocktails in a vibey, South American-inspired lounge inside Yours Truly DC Hotel. 🍸

Did you know, Georgetown is actually older than Washington, D.C. itself—founded in 1751, it’s got some serious history behind those cobblestone streets! @visittheusa

This is your sign to experience sunrise along the This is your sign to experience sunrise along the tidal basin of Washington DC. I lived in DC for 10 years before moving back to North Carolina and while I enjoyed the cherry blossoms at sunset, I never experienced it at sunrise. If seeing them are on your spring bucket list, here’s what you need to know:

What to Expect:
•Peak Bloom Timing: Anticipate the blossoms reaching their peak starting today March 28 through 31.
•Crowd Levels: The Tidal Basin becomes a popular destination during peak bloom, so expect large crowds, especially on weekends. If you can come early in the morning - even shortly after sunrise - you can expect lower crowds.
•Scenic Walks: Enjoy a leisurely 2.1-mile loop around the Tidal Basin, offering stunning views of the blossoms and iconic monuments. You can also grab a bike and ride along the bike route.

Parking Tips:
•Limited Availability: Parking near the Tidal Basin is extremely limited during the festival but I did see some at Thomas Jefferson Memorial.
•Alternative Options: Consider using public transportation - get off at the Smithsonian stop and walk over.

Protect the Trees: Stay on designated paths to avoid damaging tree roots and refrain from picking blossoms
